God declared to the Children of Israel that Canaan (a land flowing with milk and honey) has been given to them to possess. However, as they proceeded to possess the land, they were faced with opposition in the form of giants. These giants were not ready to give up their land to anyone but were prepared for war. Does that describe the situation you are in? God might have spoken to you, and it has also been confirmed, yet you are not experiencing the prophecy. Instead, you are faced with many roadblocks.
It is not that God has not spoken, nor are you the first to experience delay. God always places demands on our faith, expecting us to take steps of faith. The heroes of faith obtained God’s promises because they acted in faith. For us to walk into our supernatural inheritance, we need to do likewise. Hebrews 11 is the account of those who entered into their inheritance through the instrumentality of faith.
And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens (Hebrews 11:32-34).
When twelve Israelites were sent to survey the land which God promised them, only two (Caleb and Joshua) acted in faith. They understood how the supernatural works. Caleb demonstrated faith in the living God who is more than able to deliver the land to them in spite of the giants by disregarding anything contrary. Caleb assured Moses and said:
“Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it” (Numbers 13:30).
This is faith in action. Taking possession of your inheritance in Christ requires faith and sometimes the fight of faith. Matthew 11:12 says that right from the day of John the Baptist, the Kingdom of God suffers violence, and the violent takes it by force. If God has something for you, you better get ready to fight it.
The children of Israel got to their Canaan but they fought their way in by faith. When your faith is active, there is nothing powerful enough to stop you. Because all that God needs to work with is your capacity to believe that with Him the impossible is possible. Faith brings the promises to performance.
And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a
performance of those things which were told her from the Lord (Luke 1:45, KJV).
There are no promises of God that will see the light of the day without faith. Jesus Christ could not heal or perform miracle in His hometown because the people did not believe Him (Mark 6). Enlarge your capacity to believe God for the supernatural. Daring faith is required for your healing, breakthrough, deliverance, and prosperity. Have faith in God (Mark 11:22).
